The Sheridan Police Department's Police Reserve Officer Program consists of unpaid, certified volunteer reserve officers. Its primary purpose is to provide additional manpower to the department and perform general law enforcement work to protect the lives, safety, health, welfare and property of the residents and visitors of the City of Sheridan by enforcing municipal, state, and federal ordinances, statutes, and laws.
The selection criteria for reserves are the same as for full-time officers.
